Search, BOM and net lists
Search components instantly, group procurement BOMs, and trace network endpoints.
Quick search
Press Ctrl+F (or legacy Ctrl+K) to bring up the floating search overlay. Query component references (e.g. R102), pins (U1.12), or signal nets (VCC_3V3, SPI_MISO). Queries leverage in-memory prefix trees for rapid responses.
Exact matches are prioritized alongside partial substrings. In multi-sheet schematics, each result displays its target sheet number and object classification. Press Enter to zoom and center on the item instantly.
BOM grouping and filters
The BOM panel clusters components by electrical value and package footprint, with support for flat tables and Top / Bottom layer isolation.
Clicking any row highlights all matching parts across the board, accelerating pick-and-place setup, first-article inspection (FAI), and bill-of-materials verification. If source files omit manufacturer part numbers (MPN), clustering relies on nominal values and footprint designations.
Net lists and multiple selection
Filter signals under the Networks tab in the right inspector. Hold Ctrl and click multiple nets to apply contrasting chromatic highlights across the canvas, making bus routing and signal crossovers immediately evident.
For extended net names, the panel displays complete source identifiers and pin counts. If the net table appears unpopulated, verify that the PCB file contains parsed netlist records.
What a result means
Search and BOM operations reflect the parsed data model. In multi-module systems where identical short net names exist on separate sheets, compare parent hierarchical modules and pin connections to confirm continuity.
For vector PDFs, text lookup uses the embedded font stream; raster scan pages require prior OCR. Search indexes build quickly on initial load, ensuring that typing and navigating stay responsive.
